Problem Description
Generic rubber and ceramic wear plates require the chute to be taken out of service for 12 hours every 4 weeks for replacement. Ceramic cylinders are dis-bonding from the rubber causing liner failure. Design limitations of generic liners required corners to be filled with repair bog.
Imatech Solution
With chute availability as the key objective, Imatech provided a design of CorroCube Wear Liners to overcome the limitations of previous liners.
The Results
After 4 months service, CorroCube Wear Liners show 95% of the surface to have virtually no wear, with the remaining 5% having worn a maximum of 10mm. Estimated life of the highest wear areas will exceed 12 months…a wear life extension of 12 x the life of previous liners.
