Transfer Chute, <40mm iron ore at approx 5,000 TPH
Problem Description
A generic non-Imatech rubber/ceramic wear liner was used in this chute. The liners lasted approximately 2 weeks and required frequent shutdowns and an intensive labor effort for liner replacement. The original liners experienced multiple modes of failure such as excessive wear, ceramics failure and bonding failure
Imatech Solution
CorroCube Wear Liners installed in exactly the same application. No dis-bonding of the ceramic from the rubber. No chipping of the ceramic. Long abrasive wear life of the ceramic. The CorroCube Wear Liners lasted 50 weeks.
The Results
Imatech CorroCube Wear Liners have extended the wear life from 2 to 50 weeks.
Shutdown frequency reduced from 26 to 1 shut per year. Reduced overall spending on wear liners.
Higher chute availability.
Reduced labor resources invested in maintaining wear liners.
